Fluxus
A new environment to let customers make their own reservations and to optimise the invoicing process

About the organisation
Fluxus is an arts centre where spaces can be reserved by different types of tenants.
The challenge
Fluxus had been using an i-Reserve environment for a number of years, but had several wishes to improve the reservation processes. It was decided to build a new i-Reserve environment from the ground up based on these wishes. Central to this were the transition to self-service booking by customers and the optimisation of the invoicing process.
i-Reserve in practice
To accommodate the different types of tenants at Fluxus, multiple user profiles were set up. These user profiles can adjust the rate of the reservations. Lists of rooms were also created that are dynamically adjusted based on the user profiles. In addition, we redesigned the invoicing process to make maximum use of automation. Besides building the i-Reserve environment, we guided Fluxus through the adoption of the new environment and the introduction of the new environment to their customers.
The result
The reservation process has become considerably less work now that customers can make their own reservations. The invoicing process also requires less effort following the introduction of automation. By working closely with Fluxus during the set-up of the new environment, we were able to fine-tune the environment to their processes. As a result, the i-Reserve environment is better aligned with their wishes.

The reservation process is now going really great — the fact that customers make their own reservations makes a huge difference. The new invoicing process means everything goes much faster than before.
