Bexio
Bexio is one of the best-known cloud solutions for accounting and invoicing in Switzerland. The integration between i-Reserve and Bexio focuses on financial data: a customer becomes a contact and an invoice becomes a sales invoice. How does the integration between i-Reserve and Bexio work?
The integration between i-Reserve and Bexio is a one-way connection via Bexio's API. This means data is sent from the i-Reserve reservation system to Bexio. As soon as an invoice is finalised in i-Reserve, i-Reserve creates the customer as a contact in Bexio and then pushes the invoice with all of its invoice lines. So you no longer need to enter invoice details into your accounting by hand.
You establish the connection once using OAuth2: you grant the integration permission on your own Bexio account. After that the push happens automatically in the background, and you can also synchronise manually from the customer or invoice screen.

What are the benefits of connecting Bexio to an online reservation system?
The most obvious benefit is time saved: you no longer enter the same data twice. Your administration also stays up to date and you make fewer mistakes, because the invoice appears in Bexio exactly as it is in i-Reserve. A particular bonus with this integration: i-Reserve shows per invoice line whether it exists in Bexio and whether the amount matches, so a difference stands out immediately instead of at the quarterly close.
Who is this integration for?
Bexio is popular with Swiss small and medium-sized businesses. If you work in Swiss francs with Swiss VAT rates and want bookings, invoices and accounting to stay in line, this integration is the shortest route. You link the i-Reserve VAT rates to the Bexio tax codes once, so every invoice line lands on the right code in your accounting.
Extra modules
The integration between Bexio and the i-Reserve reservation system requires the 'Export' module and the 'Invoice' module. With these modules you can push data to your financial administration. The 'Export' module has the following features:
- The ability to send data from the i-Reserve reservation system to Bexio via the API.
- Settings that let you match the integration to your administration, such as the customer number and whether or not the invoice is finalised straight away.
- The option to have the invoice email sent from Bexio.
- A log in which you can see, per call, exactly what was exchanged.
In addition you need the 'Invoice' module. With this module you can create invoices based on reservations and use additional features such as partial invoices, merging draft invoices or creating direct debits.
