If X-corp has its way, X-Cubes will soon be popping up all over the country. They describe it as a cross between an escape room and a video game, offering a wide variety of experiences. Think solving a murder, cracking a bank vault, or defusing a bomb. And with the i-Reserve reservation system, you can securely give your customers access to it themselves — without you needing to be there.

What is the X-Cube?

The X-Cube is a cross between an escape room and a video game — an interactive box in which you can enjoy a wide variety of experiences. Whatever you can imagine is possible: solving a murder, defusing a bomb, or cracking a bank vault.

Your X-Cube connected to the i-Reserve reservation system

With the integration between the i-Reserve reservation system and X-Cube, a fully automated workflow is possible. From the first website visit all the way through to playing the X-Cube, a reservation can now be completed without any staff involvement.

How does the integration with i-Reserve work?

In your i-Reserve environment, you can set exactly when your customer gains access to your X-Cube. For example, you can require that a reservation must first be paid. You can configure this status yourself in your online environment. An added benefit: with the i-Reserve reservation system, payment can also be made online immediately at the time of booking.

As the provider of your X-Cube, you set up the available options for your customers yourself in the background. i-Reserve applies the same pricing as always for this. You pay a monthly licence fee — not per booking. So how does it work exactly?

As soon as a reservation reaches the configured status, X-Cube receives a notification. X-Cube then generates a PIN code and sends it to the customer. (Via i-Reserve, you can have various automated emails sent to customers — such as a confirmation email or a reminder email.)

The customer arrives at the door of your X-Cube and enters the PIN code. This code unlocks the door. The customer's name appears neatly on the screens inside, and the game can begin. What if the customer cancels or modifies their reservation? In that case, the reservation is immediately cancelled or updated in X-Cube as well.

What data is exchanged?

To allow both systems to work together smoothly, they exchange data. You can see which data is transmitted in the table below. As you can see, the data flows in both directions — from i-Reserve to X-Cube and from X-Cube back to the reservation system.
