Access control with your own phone – made possible with the new i-Reserve scanner app
In today's society, access control is becoming increasingly common. How do you keep track of whether someone has made a reservation or not? Are you still working with attendance lists, printed tickets, or e-tickets displayed on a screen? The reservation system i-Reserve has a new solution. Use your own phone to scan the QR code you provide on the customer's e-ticket and instantly see whether it is valid or not.
Your own scanner app
Our new QR scanner app is included free of charge with the e-tickets module. This means you no longer need a separate contract with an external scanning party alongside this module. With our app, you can scan e-tickets using your own devices. The QR scanner app is free to install from the various app stores. We naturally do not charge any additional amount per scanned ticket. So beyond the cost of the e-tickets module within i-Reserve, there are no extra charges associated with scanning.
E-ticket with QR code as proof of entry
E-tickets are used across a wide range of industries. In many cases, e-tickets are particularly useful when a computer is not immediately available and a reservation still needs to be confirmed quickly. Examples include participants on a course, along the waterfront at a boat hire service, or during a guided tour. In most cases, an e-ticket will be sent to the customer by email and can serve directly as confirmation of the reservation made. It is of course also possible to create an e-ticket manually. In both cases, a PDF template is required in which a QR code is generated. QR stands for 'Quick Response'. It is a square, pixelated barcode. You scan this code with the QR scanner app on your phone and your customer's attendance is confirmed. An added benefit: the reservation details are processed immediately after scanning. No more hassle with attendance lists and printed tickets with the i-Reserve QR scanner app.

How does the i-Reserve QR scanner app work?
Do you have an i-Reserve licence with the e-tickets module? Then you can get started straight away. The scanner app is included as a complimentary service. Install the app on your phone or another device. The app can be installed on as many devices as you wish. You can log in using a QR code via your i-Reserve management environment, which links the scanner to your environment. The app supports both a dark and light theme and is available in Dutch and English.
Do you have an i-Reserve licence but no e-tickets module? Or do you not yet have an i-Reserve licence at all? No problem – on our App Simulation page you can try out the i-Reserve Scanner App for yourself. Go to the simulation page and follow the instructions.
Access control with the scanner app
On the day of the guided tour or course, you scan the QR code on the customer's e-ticket. Within a second, you will see a green or red screen, making it immediately clear whether the ticket is valid. Scanning a code for the second time will result in a red screen. If there is a problem or something goes wrong, you can always consult the scan history within the app. The e-ticket, and therefore the QR code, is linked to the reservation, which can be retrieved at any time. Via the management environment, you can easily check whether the visitor or customer has 'checked in'. The reservation will then show that the 'e-ticket has been validated'.
