In the back-end management panel, the reservation dialogue allows you to view and adjust bookings. Within i-Reserve, there are various options for this, depending on what you offer.
One of the options within the system is the schedule dialogue. Imagine you want to book a meeting room, a boat, or perhaps even a painting class for your customer. The schedule dialogue is, in effect, the interface — the screen — through which you can do this. You select the desired time, product or activity, and can immediately see whether it is available and confirm the reservation.
Within i-Reserve, there are two types of schedule dialogues. If you hire out products, you use the object-based schedule. This could be, for example, a meeting room that must not be double-booked. Do you work with activities such as classes or guided tours? Then you use the event-based schedule, where multiple people can sign up for a specific activity. Our new schedule module — what has changed?
i-Reserve has recently given the schedule module a significant overhaul. Gone is the overwhelming spreadsheet layout, replaced by a clear and logically organised screen. This means you can see at a glance what is planned and when. In our view, this makes managing reservations even easier for you as a business owner. Below is an overview of the latest features.

Greater clarity with the timeline view
The new timeline view in the schedule module offers greater calm and clarity. Where the previous layout could feel somewhat busy and column-oriented, the redesigned focus on rows brings a more organised and logical appearance. This makes it easier to quickly find the right information without getting lost in overcrowded screens. The improved design allows you to work more efficiently and maintain greater control over your planning, regardless of the number of reservations you manage.

Drag and drop items
To make managing reservations even more straightforward, we have now also introduced drag-and-drop functionality within the timeline. With this functionality, you can simply drag items to a different time or location. Has your customer suddenly needed a different room or time slot? No problem — simply drag the reservation to another space. Does the customer want the reservation to run longer or shorter? This too can be adjusted with a simple drag.

Everything on one page
One of the most significant improvements in the new schedule module is perhaps the "everything-on-one-page" functionality. No more clicking back and forth between different screens. The entire process — from booking to adjustment — now takes place in one clear, consolidated location. Want to quickly add a new reservation? Or perhaps update an existing one by adding extras such as a projector, lunch, or refreshments? It can all be done within a single screen.
You work directly from within the schedule itself. Beneath the timeline, you can make adjustments, add an extra option, or change the time or location with just a few clicks. Everything is updated instantly, allowing you to act much more quickly. This not only makes your day-to-day planning considerably simpler, but also ensures you can assist your customers immediately without any delay.

A practical example
Suppose you have a customer on the phone looking for a meeting room. You open the schedule dialogue, immediately see which spaces are available, and click on the desired room. Does the customer prefer a different time or additional facilities such as tea and coffee? These can be added just as easily. Would they rather have a room on the sunny side of the building? With a single movement, you drag the reservation to the right space. All done? Then, with one click, you send a confirmation email to the customer.
