Almost Live with i-Reserve? Check This First for a Smooth Launch
The buttons are configured, the copy is ready, and you're almost there. The moment your new reservation system goes live is always exciting — but that excitement doesn't have to mean stress. A successful launch comes down to the details. With this practical checklist, you'll cross the finish line without breaking a sweat.
1. The Technical Side: Are All Systems Go?
Nothing is more frustrating than a customer who wants to book but can't complete their payment. Go through the technical integrations one final time.
- Payment methods: Is the connection with your payment provider (such as Pay.nl) working correctly? Make a small test payment yourself to confirm the funds arrive in the right place.
- Integrations: Are your calendar and accounting package communicating smoothly with i-Reserve?
- The flow: Is the journey from 'search' to 'book' logical and short enough?
2. Run a Full Dress Rehearsal
Don't rely on settings alone — test everything in practice. Make a number of test bookings across different devices. Pick up your own phone, use a colleague's laptop, and check that everything looks good and runs smoothly.
Top tip: Also test a cancellation or a modification. That way you can be certain that the confirmation emails sent afterwards are correct too.
3. Bring Your Team Up to Speed
You've probably already involved your staff in the decision-making process (see our previous article), but now it's time for hands-on training. Do they know where to view the schedule? How to add a reservation manually?
The benefit: A team that knows exactly what to do radiates confidence to your customers.
4. Let Your Customers Know
Your customers shouldn't have to guess that something has changed. Communicate clearly about your new system. Send a short newsletter or post an update on social media. Explain that booking has now become even easier.
Top tip: Don't forget to update the links on your website to point to the new booking module. A broken link on launch day is a missed opportunity.
To be honest: is there one thing you're still unsure about before you hit the 'on' switch? More often than not, that's precisely the point that deserves a little extra attention.
