Remotely unlocking doors with the i-Reserve reservation system
Would you like the door of a meeting room to open for a specific customer five or ten minutes before the meeting? Would you like to give your customer a code to open the door of a squash court at the time of their reservation? Or perhaps the code for a locker containing a key and any other required items? There are countless options to consider: for hotels, rental accommodations, conference centres, sports halls and private clubs. The possibilities for door and access control with our reservation system are extensive.
Dormakaba locks
Dormakaba is an international company specialising in smart and secure access solutions with more than 150 years of experience. They offer cost-saving and efficient products, solutions and services for secure and convenient access to buildings and spaces. Customers can open the door themselves using their phone. You can also have the power switched on when your customers enter the space and switched off again when they leave. The aim is always to create a safe and comfortable environment for your customers. Because they also offer locks that do not need to be opened with a key but with a code, we entered into this partnership. Our reservation system can now be integrated with these locks — the ideal solution for you and your customers.
Dormakaba within i-Reserve
With a Dormakaba lock, you can configure within your i-Reserve environment exactly when your customer gains access to one or more spaces. Does a reservation need to be paid for before your customer is granted access to the space? No problem — you can set this specific status yourself. Reservations can also be settled directly through our reservation system.
How does it work?
Once a reservation reaches the configured status, Dormakaba receives a notification. What do they see? The time of the reservation and the space(s) to which the customer should be granted access. Privacy is respected — names or other GDPR-sensitive information about your customer are not shared. Dormakaba then generates a PIN code, which i-Reserve can send directly to the customer.
The customer also receives an email containing a link. This link can be opened when they are standing in front of the space. In due course, it will also be possible to combine these two emails (the email with the PIN code and the email with the link) into a single message.
When your customer is standing at the door or locker, they open the link in the email. Upon opening the link, they are prompted to enter the PIN code they received. Once the customer enters that code on their phone, the lock opens immediately. What happens if the customer cancels or modifies their reservation? It will also be cancelled or updated with Dormakaba straight away.
Online reservations in i-Reserve
However, remotely unlocking doors is not the only benefit of i-Reserve. With an online reservation system, you also give your customers the opportunity to check the availability of your offering online and make a booking straight away. You can of course decide what your customers can reserve and at what price. This means your business is accessible 24/7, and customers can make a reservation whenever it suits them — saving you time when handling bookings. Our reservation system also automatically sends your guests a confirmation and a reminder, helping you prevent no-shows and lost revenue.
How much does the i-Reserve reservation system cost?
Our reservation system is available in various base packages starting with Bronze. This is suitable for sole traders or community centres and associations.
