Google Drive is Google's secure cloud storage for keeping and sharing documents. With the integration between i-Reserve and Google Drive you manage those documents straight from i-Reserve: the reservation system works as a file manager on top of your own Drive account.

Documents are organised per customer, booking or object, exactly according to the structure you are used to in i-Reserve. That way you find the related files right at each reservation, upload new documents without opening Drive, and keep everything central and secure in one place. The files stay in your own Google Drive; i-Reserve handles the management and access.

What is the integration between i-Reserve and Google Drive?

The integration lets you manage your documents straight from i-Reserve while they stay in your own Google Drive. i-Reserve acts as a file manager on top of your Drive, organised per customer, booking or object.

Where are my files stored?

In your own Google Drive account. i-Reserve does not store the files itself but manages them for you: it handles the folder structure, uploading and access. You keep full control of your Drive.

How are documents organised?

Per customer, booking or object, according to the structure you are used to in i-Reserve. That way you find the related documents right at each reservation, without searching in Drive.

What do I need to set up the integration?

You set it up in two places: first you create an OAuth client in Google Cloud, then you configure the integration in i-Reserve. The steps are described in the manual; we are happy to help you set it up.

Do I still need to work in Google Drive separately?

No, that's the benefit: you manage documents from i-Reserve without switching between systems. The files do still live in Drive, so you can always open them there directly as well.

Is this secure?

Yes. The integration runs through a secure OAuth connection with Google and works within your own Google Drive account. With the permissions in i-Reserve you decide who may manage which documents.
