Almost live with i-Reserve? Check this first for a worry-free start
The buttons are set up, the copy is ready, and you're almost there. The moment your new reservation system goes live is always exciting. But that excitement doesn't have to be stress. A successful launch hinges on the details. With this practical checklist, you'll sail to the finish line.
1. The technology: are all lights green?
Nothing is more annoying than a customer who wants to book but cannot pay. Check the technical connections one more time.
- Payment methods: Is the connection with your payment provider (such as Pay.nl) working? Make a small payment yourself to see if the money ends up in the right place.
- Integrations: Do your calendar and accounting software already communicate well with i-Reserve?
- The 'flow': Is the path from 'searching' to 'booking' logical and short enough?
2. Do a dress rehearsal
Don't rely solely on the settings; test it in practice. Make a number of test bookings on different devices. Grab your own phone, use a colleague's laptop, and see if everything looks good and works smoothly.
The tip: Also test a cancellation or a change. That way, you can be sure that the confirmation emails sent out afterwards are correct.
3. Take your team by the hand
You have probably already involved your employees in the decision (see our previous article), but now it is time for the instructions. Do they know where to view the schedule? How to manually add a reservation?
The benefit: A team that knows what to do radiates calm to the customer.
4. Tell your customers
Your customers shouldn't have to guess that anything has changed. Communicate clearly about your new system. Send a short newsletter or post a message on social media. Explain that booking has become even easier from now on.
The tip: Don't forget to update the links on your website to the new booking module. A 'dead' link on launch day is a missed opportunity.
Let's be honest: Is there one thing you're still unsure about before you press the 'on' button? Often, that is precisely the point you need to take an extra look at.
Shall I take a look at your current setup with you, or would you like us to go through a final test booking together?
