This way, customers can pay directly for their reservations with the payment method of their choice and you have the reservations and payments clearly arranged in one system. This saves you a lot of time with your accounting, time that you can use to do what you enjoy; to undertake.
When connecting Cardgate, the possibilities can mainly be found in the many payment methods of the payment provider. The number and types of payment systems change with the market. This usually means that payment methods are added, but it can also mean that one is no longer offered. The connection of our reservation system links with the check-out of the payment provider. This allows payment methods to be added or removed without changes in i-Reserve.
How does the link between Cardgate and the i-Reserve reservation system work?
So how exactly does the link ? First of all, to create the link between our booking system and CardGate, you need a CardGate account and the i-Reserve Online Payment module be activated. The settings of i-Reserve be set so that CardGate can provide feedback to the reservation system and vice versa. If everything is set up correctly, paid reservations will be processed directly in i-Reserve .

How should I set up the connection between CardGate and i-Reserve ?
To set up the link, you must first log in to the CardGate website with your own login details. Under the menu item "Management" - "sites" you will find the websites from which payments can be made via CardGate. Here you will find the site ID and Coding Key, which you will need to set up the link in the i-Reserve reservation system.
You can then place the link below at the "Callback URL", where you must replace {I-RESERVE-URL} with your own i-Reserve environment.

Then go to the i-Reserve reservation system to set CardGate as a payment provider. To do this, go to the configuration screen under 'modules' - 'payment method reservations'. Enter the cardgate site ID and encryption key as stated on the cardgate settings page. A more detailed description of how this connection is made can be found in our manual.
