Good news for everyone who welcomes tourists: i-Reserve has become a partner of Tourist.com. On that platform, travellers from all over the world look for great places and local deals. From now on you can easily show your activity there, with a button that leads straight to your own i-Reserve booking page.

What is Tourist.com?

Tourist.com is a platform and app for travellers. Members get a digital Tourist ID and use a map to find restaurants, museums, tours, activities and other local tips, often with a discount just for them. According to Tourist.com, more than 56,000 local businesses in 195 countries already take part. Businesses create their own page for free, with their offer and a discount they choose themselves.

What does the partnership mean?

i-Reserve is listed in the booking software directory of Tourist.com, with its own page: i-Reserve on Tourist.com. That makes it very easy for you. You add the link to your i-Reserve booking page to your Tourist page, and a Book online button appears. A traveller who clicks it simply books with you, in i-Reserve. No middleman, no second calendar.

We deliberately don't call it an integration (yet): nothing is exchanged automatically between the two systems. That is exactly its strength. You need no technical knowledge and you are online within a few minutes.

The benefits at a glance

  • A new audience, without an advertising budget. Travellers who don't know you exist yet find you through the map, the search and the categories on Tourist.com.
  • No commission. A page on Tourist.com is free and Tourist.com takes no percentage of your bookings. That is quite a difference compared with the big booking platforms.
  • The booking comes to you. Availability, prices, online payment, confirmations and reminders all run through i-Reserve, exactly as you are used to. Because the guest books on your own booking page, there is no risk of double bookings.
  • Your guest, your data. The guest's details end up in your own customer database. So later on you can send that guest a newsletter or a gift voucher, for example.
  • International guests book in their own language. The i-Reserve booking page is multilingual, so a German or Spanish tourist doesn't have to puzzle anything out.
  • You stay in control. You decide which discount you give Tourist members and change it whenever you like. There is no contract and no notice period.

Traveller profile on Tourist.com with countries, cities and places visited

Who is this for?

Really for anyone who relies on visitors from elsewhere: canal cruises and boat rental, city walks and bike tours, museums and attractions, escape rooms and workshops. Especially in tourist cities and holiday regions, it is an easy way to stand out to people who have just arrived and are looking for something fun to do.

How to get started

  1. Register your business for free at partners.tourist.com and fill in your details.
  2. Choose the discount you want to give Tourist members.
  3. In the partner dashboard, open the Direct booking tab and paste your public booking link from i-Reserve. The Book online button appears on your page automatically.

Tourist.com has written a clear guide especially for i-Reserve users: the step-by-step guide for i-Reserve.

Tip: choose a link that opens directly on your most popular activity, with a short, inviting description and an attractive photo. Fewer clicks means more bookings.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tourist.com cost my business anything?

No. A page on Tourist.com is free and Tourist.com charges no commission on your bookings. You do decide yourself which discount you give Tourist members.

Is this an integration between Tourist.com and i-Reserve?

No, not (yet). Nothing is exchanged automatically between the two systems. You add the link to your i-Reserve booking page to your Tourist page, and the guest uses that link to book directly in i-Reserve.

Which link do I paste in the Direct booking tab?

The public link to your online booking page in i-Reserve: the same link you use on your website or in your Google Business Profile, for example. Not sure which link works best? Feel free to get in touch.

Do bookings via Tourist.com simply arrive in i-Reserve?

Yes. The guest books on your own booking page, so the reservation, the payment and the guest details end up in i-Reserve, with the confirmation and reminders you have already set up.

Can I stop using Tourist.com again?

Yes, whenever you like. There is no contract and no notice period. You remove the link or pause your page in the Tourist.com partner dashboard.
