With an online reservation system you offer your customers, guests or visitors the opportunity to view availability online and make a reservation. As the provider of your reservation system, you determine the options for your customers.

When setting the options for your customers, you must not only take the group size into account, but also the minimum and maximum duration of the reservation. You must also determine whether the reservation has a fixed price, a price per hour or a price per person per hour.

Optimal occupancy and customer friendliness

For optimal occupancy it is important to determine the maximum capacity. You must consider whether your customers can only reserve predetermined (fixed) time slots or whether they can decide for themselves how long their reservation lasts. If you want the best possible occupancy, it is best to work with fixed time blocks that can be reserved 100% full. Is great customer friendliness an essential factor in your industry? Then let your customer, guest or visitor determine the exact start and end time and calculate any vacancy.

Example

You rent out a space and set your reservation tool so that reservations can only be made per two hours. With fixed blocks, the space can be reserved from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. :00 am. If you give your customers the option to choose a start time themselves, a customer may choose 9:00 AM as the start time (end time 11:00 AM). This means a vacancy of one hour because another customer cannot reserve the same room at 8:00 am on the same day.

So you make a choice between optimal occupancy and customer friendliness. Depending on the industry, the customer will have a greater or lesser degree of understanding of the possibilities of reservations during this time of crisis.

With i-Reserve you can decide for yourself what your customer can reserve. Can he only choose a fixed block? Or he determines his own start and end time. i-Reserve can therefore be set up flexibly to allow the customer to place his own reservation for your reservation scenario.

With i-Reserve you decide how many customers can reserve 1 product. You don't have to check your agenda or Excel yourself while the customer is waiting on the phone for confirmation whether you still have room for him.
The reservation system itself indicates at which times there is still room for the group that wants to make a reservation.

You can open times yourself by using a calendar (start and end date) to determine the opening times and the associated prices.
In this way you can, for example, manage high and low season prices and opening hours.
You plan this ahead carefully so that, when it suits you, you can easily set the times and prices for the coming period. You don't have to rush on the day of the change to quickly make the adjustments. TIP: Plan ahead and bring peace to your colleagues

If you offer multiple products (for example multiple meeting rooms), it is often difficult for the customer to find a suitable and available room. With an advanced "Search and Book" system, we can immediately provide the customer with the available spaces with a search specification. See our meeting demo for an example of such a system.

The booking manual contains a detailed explanation of how to set up the system, and if you have any questions, you can contact the professional support desk by telephone or e-mail.
